A high quality of output is important if you want to give the output directly to users or clients without performing any additional desktop operations. DAISIE presents the output - tables and analyses - in the format defined by the user. As all the results are stored, it’s always possible to create sub-reports or refine analysis of the results at a later data via additional tabulations. DAISIE is in complete harmony with the desktop environment and can produce output in the format desired, like Excel for example, while at the same time maintaining all the presentation characteristics obtained in DAISIE.
Example of a table produced by DAISIE
Extract from a DAISIE table (see opposite) that’s been exported into Excel, showing the working variable derived from Q2AB (countries in Europe visited) crossed with sex.
DAISIE shows the Interviewee base at the head of the table and the No answers at the foot.
Putting the working variable derived from Q2AB in rows gives us:
- Population having visited at least one European country
- The countries visited, reorganised by geographical area
The calculations requested are population size, horizontal percentages and vertical percentages. Statistical tests have also been requested with colours used to indicate the significance levels of these tests.
