Data Manager
The information to process can come from one or several sources. Survey data itself comes from fieldwork, but can be associated with data from other sources like client data, product data etc...
DAISIE’s Data Manager can accommodate any type of information that requires statistical processing, whatever the method of data collection - CATI, CAPI, CAWI, traditional input. DAISIE automatically organises this information in the form of a database, in “variables” that can be accessed and consulted via a library
Studies with more than one level
Organising the study in the form of a database is particularly advantageous in studies with more than one level that involve bringing different entities of the database into contact.
Examples:- A customer satisfaction study that involves the entities Customers, Products and Services
- A customer satisfaction study that looks at Customer entities over time
- A medical study that involves the entities Hospitals, Patients, Doctors, Prescriptions, Products and Suppliers
- ...
The statistical results can be based on different levels depending on the objective sought. With DAISIE, the level of reference just has to be specified for all the calculations requested to be based on this level.
Example of a study with more than one level
We have 2 populations: interviewees and their homes. The question asked is about these people’s satisfaction with the homes they have lived in. In the same query, by simply changing levels, we can have the same table but on a different base:
1- Base interviewees (210 people)
2- Base homes occupied (790 homes)

We see the full importance here of choosing the right level.
